Approximately 500 young Angolans will be present at the events. According to Angop, these young people will be distributed by the Portuguese cities of Fátima, Aveiro and Braga.
The event starts next Tuesday (August 1st) and will run until Sunday (August 6th). Pope Francis, a central figure at the event, is due to arrive in the Portuguese capital next Wednesday (August 2).
The programme, according to Angop, foresees that the Supreme Pontiff will carry out eight speeches, as well as hold several meetings. The agenda also foresees a trip to Fátima, in which the Pope will participate in a mass.
The main initiatives will take place in the Portuguese capital, with emphasis on a central act, in Parque Eduardo VII, with the realization of a cult to be attended by hundreds of thousands of people, writes Angop.
The organization estimates that around one million young people from different countries and continents travel to Portugal because of the journeys, so there was a strengthening of security and a limitation on the circulation of cars.
