The information was provided by the Chinese ambassador to Angola, Gong Tao, who was received, this Monday, in audience, by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
On the occasion, the Chinese diplomat made it known that at the meeting they discussed the degree of execution of the works financed by his country that are underway in Angola, adding that on the Chinese side there is a will to guarantee the financing of these works.
"We had the opportunity to talk about the good execution of the major works with Chinese financing that are underway, such as the new Luanda International Airport and also the Caculo-Cabaça hydroelectric center and the new Porto do Caio in Cabinda, which are in good condition. execution, and from the Chinese side we have every desire to ensure the financing of these works and guarantee that the works are carried out in the time that was foreseen", he said, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).
"There is Chinese funding for the major works that are in progress," added the ambassador.
Furthermore, the diplomat also highlighted trade between the two countries: "Angola and China, last year, trade reached a new peak of 27 billion dollars", he said, quoted by RNA.
"We are going to seek to boost Angola's capacity to export more to China," he added, quoted by RNA.
According to RNA, the ambassador also informed that this year the second guiding commission for China-Angola cooperation will take place, with a view to determining new partnerships and business.
