João Lourenço travels to Cuando Cubango where he will attend military maneuvers

The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, traveled this Tuesday to Cuando Cubango, where he will attend military maneuvers.

According to a note from CIPRA, which VerAngola had access to, the head of state's visit to the said province will last two days.

"The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, works this Tuesday and Wednesday in the province of Cuando Cubango", reads the note.

This Tuesday, according to the communiqué, the President will attend military maneuvers. "As Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President João Lourenço will attend military maneuvers tomorrow [Tuesday] in a polygon prepared for this purpose, which will move men and technique", indicates the note.

As for Wednesday, João Lourenço foresees in his agenda the orientation of a meeting that will address the general situation of the Angolan Armed Forces in its multiple facets.

According to Angop, João Lourenço left Luanda on Tuesday morning, having received farewell greetings from Esperança da Costa, vice-president of the Republic.

Regarding the presence of the President of the Republic at the military exercises, the head of the Main Directorate of Patriotic Education of the General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces, Lieutenant General António de Jesus Fernandes, referred that the troops were "very excited".

"This is a great congratulation for the Armed Forces and the troops are very motivated and very excited to make this maneuver reach the objectives for which they were advocated", said the official, quoted by Jornal de Angola.
