Carlos Cavuquila, national director of Identity and Notary, revealed that the country has 384,000 Identity Cards (ID) to be printed and that there are 120,000 identification documents to be delivered.

To reduce the high number of documents still waiting to be printed, the official informed, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), that since May 16, more than 15 thousand identity cards have been printed daily: "From 16 of May, we are printing more than 15 thousand identity cards per day and this will make the accumulation of tickets we had, which was 384 thousand, to be printed".

In addition, the official also mentioned that 120,000 documents are yet to be delivered. "On the other hand, we still have over 120,000 cards to be delivered at all stations nationwide," he said, quoted by RNA.

Civil identification posts with special hours until August

Between the 19th of May and the 15th of August, the civil identification posts will have a special timetable for data collection and delivery of ID cards.

Thus, the stations will be open every day, including Sundays and holidays. From Monday to Friday, they will be open from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, while on weekends and holidays they will be open in the morning, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

According to a note from the Government, with a view to simplifying the delivery process, along with messages sent to citizens who have ID cards to be received, lists of citizens who are in this situation were posted at the civil identification posts.
