At the end of the visit, the signing of agreements in the fields of Justice, Commerce, Tourism, Oil and Energies, Promotion and Investment Protection is envisaged.
It is recalled that the two states have been trying to get closer in political, economic and diplomatic terms. In 2021, Téte António made an official visit to Senegal, bearing a message from João Lourenço to his counterpart.
On the occasion, several agreements were signed, including the General Agreement on Technical, Scientific and Economic Cooperation. Also an Agreement on the Creation of the Bilateral Commission and the Memorandum on Political Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Angola and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad, recalls Jornal de Angola. The two countries also signed the Agreement on the Suppression of Visas in Diplomatic, Official and Service Passports.
João Lourenço and Macky Sall met recently, during the inauguration of the Cape Verdean President, José Maria Neves. The two leaders played a bilateral role, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
