The Contemporary Dance Company of Angola will present the play "Isto é uma Mulher?", which is a joint creation by Ana Clara Guerra Marques and choreographer Irène Tassembédo from Burkina Faso.
The play will be presented in two different places: on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of May the shows will take place at the António Agostinho Neto Memorial (MAAN) and on the 27th, 28th and 29th of May at the União dos Escritores Angolanos (UEA).
On Fridays (20th and 27th of May), the shows take place at 6 pm. On Saturday and Sunday (21, 22, 28 and 29 May), the shows start at 5 pm.
The shows are for people over 12 years old.
The play invites the audience to discover, challenging them to confront themselves and to get involved in a universe where, in each question and in each answer, there is a probability of reason. It is not intended to present solutions, nor is it intended to honor, exalt, show compassion or assume any common place, it is only intended to integrate the construction of a humanized and evolved place where being a woman no longer fits in the paradigms of the past.
