According to Novo Jornal, the post decided to strengthen security measures because of the significant increase in cases of covid-19 in the country.
In statements to the same newspaper, Alvaro Mendes, responsible for testing at the post in Rio Longo, stressed that the control "is serious" and that all people who pass through that area are tested.
"There are days that we have difficulties with the lack of tests, but, at this moment, the conditions are already created, since the cases are increasing", said the responsible.
Álvaro Mendes explained that the afternoon period is the one that registers the most movement, indicating that all those who pass by the station are alerted about the dangers and risks of covid-19.
With eight technicians, four from the Ministry of Health and the rest from the Kwanza Sul authorities, the responsible considered that they are "a dynamic team".
"We are here to help in this difficult phase," he said, reinforcing that no one crosses the border without being tested.
"We seriously examine the tests done in Luanda of the people who pass here. Fortunately we have not yet detected any irregularities," he added.
