Exhibition "Olhares Cruzados - A Europa em Luanda"

:

To mark Europe Day, which is celebrated on May 9, the Camões - Portuguese Cultural Center in Luanda (CCP) will inaugurate next Sunday, at 10:30 a.m., a photography exhibition entitled "Crossed eyes: Europe in Angola.

The exhibition is the result of a photography contest launched by CCP, which had more than 50 competitors in the first phase, and brings together 24 photographs by Angolan and European artists selected by a specialized jury. A jury consisting of four elements was also responsible for awarding three prizes for the three best photographs, which will be announced next Sunday, at the opening session, to be chaired by the Ambassador of Portugal in Angola, Pedro Pessoa e Costa.

The exhibition has a digital version, which occurs simultaneously with the launching of an online public vote on the 24 photographs by 12 Angolan and European artists also exhibited at CCP's facilities.

The authors of the three photographs with the most votes will be awarded a training course in photography to be given by the company DS Records.

The virtual exhibition is available at www.olharescruzados.co.ao. It can also be visited in person at CCP's facilities until May 31st during the following hours: Monday to Thursday from 9am to 1pm and from 2pm to 4pm and on Friday from 9am to 12:30pm.

This initiative is part of the cultural activities of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union and has the institutional partnership of the BFA.
