The price of Angolan crude in this period reached a minimum of 52.58 dollars/barrel and a maximum of 69.09dollars/barrel, having reached the quarterly average of 61.68 dollars/barrel.
The director of the Studies, Planning and Statistics Office of the Ministry of Mining Resources, Oil and Gas, Alexandre Garreto, who presented the results, said that exports in this period correspond to around 1.87 million barrels / day.
"In the period under review, prices were influenced by the emergence of new variants of covid-19, concerns about the demand for oil and crude oil and the spread of the covid-19 pandemic in Europe and Asia," explained the official.
Of the total exported volume, 25.89 percent belong to the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency, the national concessionaire, and 18.20 percent belong to the state-owned Sonangol.
Regarding the international companies that operated in Angola, Total (11.81 percent), ESSO (9.71 percent), BP (8.66 percent), SSI (7.65 percent) and Chevron (6.74 percent).
China was the main destination for Angolan oil in this period, absorbing 70.14 percent of total exports, followed by India with 8.61 percent and Singapore with 4.85 percent.
In Europe, France, with 1.01 percent, and Italy, with 0.97 percent, were the main destinations for Angola's oil in the months of January, February and March 2021.
