According to the eight economists questioned by Bloomberg, Angola is expected to grow this year by 1.7 percent, which represents an improvement over the 1.3 percent previously forecast, but for 2022 analysts are now slightly more pessimistic.
Next year, the second largest oil producer in sub-Saharan Africa is expected to see Gross Domestic Product (GDP) expansion of around 2.3 percent, down from the 2.6 percent forecast in the previous survey.
As for inflation, economists estimate an increase of 22.5 percent this year, which should then slow down to 16 percent in 2022, revealing, in both cases, an upward revision of the forecast for price increases.
