According to a presidential order consulted by Lusa, the contract for the rehabilitation and expansion of the water supply system in Virei, signed on March 20, 2013, had an initial cost of 689.3 million kwanzas, with the need for an addendum "to restore the economic and financial balance of the contract and the urgent need" to complete the work.
The addendum to the contract with the company Tomás de Oliveira Empreiteiros is worth 103.4 million kwanzas.
In another presidential order, João Lourenço authorizes the addendum to the contract with the company Certave, Sociedade Comercial e Águas, signed on 16 October 2014, citing the same reasons.
The initial contract for the works to strengthen the water supply system in the town of Ucuma, in Huambo province, was worth 615.3 million kwanzas, and an additional cost of 33.3 million kwanzas was approved.
