Heroes of Blue promotes training and internship in baking to support young people

The Heroes of Azul in partnership with the bakery Viana Sol and the HotelTur offered to eight young people from some coming from some shelters and needy families, a bakery training. A started on February 8th with a workload of 40 hours.

The Viana Sol bakery is an Angolan-owned company that operates in the bakery industry and has as its main objective to meet the demand for bread and its derivatives. Currently it has a production capacity of 30 thousand loaves of bread per day and a team of qualified employees to achieve its goal, nevertheless, the bakery Viana Sol in an act of solidarity maintained the partnership with the Heroes of Blue in promoting bakery training in its establishment.

The objective of the training was to enable young people to become self-sufficient, as many of them live in shelters and homes, without any subsistence, maintained by donations. The bread-making training also served to create business opportunities in the institutions, centers or even in the neighborhoods where the young people live.

The HotelTur in partnership with the Heróis de Azul and the bakery Viana Sol guarantee to the distinguished participants in the bread-making training a framework as a job opportunity or internship, since the HotelTur is a company specialized in recruitment and hotel consulting.

According to Jelson Domingos Kambuiso, responsible for the project Heroes of Blue, this action is part of the Social Entrepreneurship plan, one of the three pillars of the social responsibility program of Standard Bank of Angola. The responsible stressed the importance of partnerships for the implementation of actions aimed at the continuous promotion of the most needy. "It is very important that we embrace the challenge of empowering people and preparing them for self-sufficiency. Remember, social responsibility is not for competition but for partnerships."
