On Monday, the government approved the declaration of a state of public calamity, with measures that will begin to take effect immediately after the third period of emergency that ended on Monday at 11.59 pm, preparing a "gradual process of returning to normal social life".

Religious celebrations in enclosed spaces will be held preferably for only two hours on four days a week, with the remaining days being reserved for the sanitization of places of worship.

The use of a face mask and a distance of at least two metres between the faithful will be compulsory, and the hygiene of the surfaces and washing of hands at the entrance of the places of worship must also be guaranteed.

Groups at risk will have a privileged location in places of worship and the use or distribution of leaflets or documents is prohibited during celebrations.

Gift containers should be placed in easily accessible places, and the faithful should travel to the respective place observing the appropriate physical distance.

Funeral ceremonies will have a maximum of 50 participants, except in the case of people who have died of covid-19, limited to 25 participants.
