The revelation was made this Tuesday by the US Ambassador to Angola, Nina Maria Fite, after meeting with the President of the Republic.
According to the ambassador, cited by Angop, the money was made available by the US Centers for Disease Control and will be used to acquire laboratory objects, biosecurity material and the reagents needed for testing.
João Lourenço also met with the French Ambassador to Angola, Sylvain Itté, from whom he received a message from the French President, Emmanuel Macron.
The message was about bilateral relations between two countries, focusing on the importance of strengthening them.
