On May 29, marathon runner Carlos Simões proposes to run for eight straight hours on a treadmill to collect donations for needy institutions.
The race will start at 10:30 am, during the 'O Momento da Blindada' program, ending at 6:30 pm. The athlete's progress will be monitored throughout the issuance of the ZAP Viva.
Carlos Simões already has several participations in ultramarathons. Working in Angola since 2010, due to the low frequency of athletics competitions in the country, it was in solidarity causes that he found the incentive for each kilometer traveled.
The funds raised will go to the following institutions: Santa Bárbara Mamã Muxima children's home, Centro Bakhita Morro Bento and Centro Pequena Semente - Cacuaco.
