In group A, where the matches will be held at the Eucaliptos field (in Bié), are the teams from the provinces of Bié, Cuanza Norte, Lunda Sul, Malanje and Moxico, writes Angop, which adds that group B, whose games will be held at the Benfica do Lubango field, has the teams from the provinces of Huíla, Luanda, Uíge and Cubango.
Thus, the opening game of group A was between the teams from Cuanza Norte and Bié.
"In the opening game of the tournament, the provincial team of Cuanza Norte beat the mixed team of Bié by one goal to zero, counting towards the first round of series A, which will be concluded when the teams of Malanje and Lunda Sul play, this Wednesday (9), at 3:00 pm, at the Eucaliptos field", reads a statement from FAF, to which VerAngola had access.
The other game, counting towards group B, was played between Huíla and Luanda. "The same result was seen in the opening of series B, held in the city of Lubango, Huíla province, where the home team was stronger and defeated the Luanda team", says the note.
According to FAF, the tournament "will take place in the provinces of Bié and Huila, from April 8 to 19".
Thus, the tournament final is scheduled for the 19th and will take place in Bié.
On the occasion, Irene Gonçalves, FAF vice-president for Women's Football, stated that expectations are high, given the need to take this step, since promoting championships at this training level is a bet for the sport in women's football, aiming to improve the potential of the talent that already exists.
Quoted by Angop, she clarified that initially the participation of a dozen teams was expected, however, the Cabinda team was unable to travel to Huíla. However, he said he hopes to discover "many" talents to make up the teams up to senior level.
Although other provinces that wanted to be present were unable to do so due to logistical difficulties, the person in charge considered that the "number of teams was satisfactory".
