Luanda Science Center raises awareness about autism

:

The Luanda Science Center (CCL) will promote activities within the scope of World Autism Awareness Day, which is celebrated on April 2.

Therefore, on April 2nd, between 9am and 5pm, the CCL will open its doors free of charge to the autistic public. In this way, the center will receive children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on its premises.

The CCL informs that, upon presentation of proof attesting to this condition, both visitors and their companions will have free access to the center and the institution's permanent exhibitions.

On that day, the exhibition "Autismo sem Máscara" will also be inaugurated at the Solar System space, whose project promotes a deep connection between mothers and children with autism through painting, where each child expresses their feelings and emotions on their mother's face as if it were a blank canvas.

Artist Grazi Gadia and photographer Márcio Amaral are the curators of this exhibition, which comes to the capital through the Kuena Innovative Social Platform.

On that day, the Angolan film "Íris, o mergulho no mundo dos autistas" will also be shown, an activity reserved for invited guests, as well as a video mapping session on the building's façade, in allusion to World Autism Awareness Day and open to the general public, ending the activity at 7 pm.
