According to the certificate granted to the country, the award "represents Angola's efforts to significantly improve engaging content, with innovative programs, including cultural activities and B2B (electronic business between companies)", aligned with the themes and objectives of the Expo, says the Government in a statement to which VerAngola had access.

The Executive also states that this recognition reflects not only the excellence of Angola's programming at the Expo, but also the commitment and dedication of its team at the pavilion in providing a memorable and enriching experience for visitors.

The award was presented by the general commissioner of Expo, Barber Bin Oma Al-Dafa, to the general commissioner of Angola for Expo 2023 Doha, Albina Assis Africano, in the presence of the president of the International Bureau of Exhibitions (BIE), Alain Berguer, and the organization's general secretary, Dimitry Kerkentzes.

In an interview with the local press, Albina Assis Africano expressed gratitude for the distinction, which she said was the result of hard teamwork, carried out with professionalism and care by the technicians present in the pavilion and the country in general.

“Our country’s mission is clear. It is, essentially, to strengthen cooperation relations and attract investors from countries with potential that interest Angola, something that, by their nature, international exhibitions provide,” he said.

During the ceremony, witnessed by more than 4,000 people, including diplomats, businesspeople and other personalities, other countries were also awarded awards in various categories.

Angola inaugurated its pavilion at the International Horticultural Exhibition – Expo 2023 Doha on November 14, 2023.
