The equality remained until the break, with a short advantage for Petro of 42-39. The third period was favorable to the attacks of the 'petrolíferos', who managed to close the time by imposing a seven-point lead (66-59).
City Oilers is considered an emerging club in continental basketball, however it failed to recover from the disadvantage imposed by the Angolan team, with Petro showing its superiority in the last quarter of the match, setting the result at an expressive 89-71.
For the City Oilers, under the command of Mandy Jurumi, the Americans Falado Jones and Justice JR stood out, with 20 and 22 points scored, respectively.
As for Petro, led by José Neto, in addition to Gakou and his 16 points, stood out Childe Dundão, Famian Hollis and Carlos Morais, all with 11 points, Souleyman Diabate and Gerson Gonçalves, with nine and Jone Pedro and Ater Majok, with eight. Also lined up for national champions Glofate Buiamba (four points), Gerson Domingos (two), Pedro Bastos and Selfedin Hendawy.
With this result, Petro guarantees second place in the classification, with two points, the same as leader Al Alhy, from Egypt, and Cape Town Tigers, from South Africa, in third.
