Oil production rose 9.5 percent last month

Oil production grew by 9.5 percent in March compared to February. Last month, crude oil production stood at 35,417,000 barrels, an increase of around 9.5 percent compared to the previous month, when a total of 32,327,000 barrels were recorded.

According to the monthly report published by PetroAngola and quoted by Angop, in the period under analysis, the average production per day was 1,142,000 barrels.

The list of oil blocks with the highest production level is led by Block 17, with a daily average of 381,786 KBPD (thousand barrels per day). Next comes Block 0 (average production of 161,942 KBPD) and Block 32 (daily production of 145,716 KBPD).

The document also states that the national vines were sold at a premium compared to Brent. Cited by Angop, the report states that the combined value of the most valued crudes in international markets reached an average value of 114.29 dollars per barrel, around 3.34 dollars per barrel above the price of Brent.

Among the most valued national varieties is Girassol (133.42 dollars per barrel with a monthly average of 114.86 dollars). In second place is Cabinda (average per month of 114.68 dollars) and in third is Nemba (average per month of 113.84 dollars).

It should be noted that the production of associated natural gas also recorded growth. Production in March was 87,583 million cubic feet, a growth of seven percent compared to February (production was 81,621 million cubic feet).

The average daily production in March was 2.825 million cubic feet.
