"As you well know, Airbus is a company that has to do with the aviation sector. Therefore, our agreement focuses more on cooperation in terms of military aircraft. The contract is already in force and will allow Angola to obtain the first and more modern maritime surveillance aircraft within 34 to 36 months," the official said.

Bernhard Brenner also said that the company intends to invest in Angola in the area of helicopters and is "looking forward" to work in the field of commercial aviation, through the diversification of TAAG's fleet, to make the national airline much more modern.

"I came to Luanda yesterday, first to say thank you very much to the President of the Republic of Angola for granting the contract, which was signed yesterday, for the provision of 32C95 military aircraft, and also to thank you for the support given to us for the celebration of this contract. ", said the vice president of Airbus, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.

As part of the contract, Bernhard Brenner had meetings with officials from the Ministries of Finance and Defense to agree on the procedures to be followed for the implementation of cooperation between the company and the country.

Without revealing the value of the contract, the Airbus vice president highlighted its importance for his company. "We also feel very honored, we want to continue working towards developing future relations with Angola", he stressed.
