According to the document, the training of gymnasts and technicians involved in this sport will be given by Portuguese experts in Angola.

According to Angop, this agreement continues another protocol that has existed since 2014. Elsa Pitra explained that Angola decided to sign this partnership because Portugal has a great experience in the world of gymnastics both in Europe and worldwide.

Admitting that the country still has to overcome some obstacles, the president of the Angolan Gymnastics Federation also acknowledged that it is necessary to invest more in infrastructure as well as to invest in academic and sports scholarships for gymnasts.

In his turn, Luís Arrais, also cited by Angop, recognized that the Lusophone connection and the language make Angola an extraordinary partner.

Carlos Alberto Fonseca, Angola's ambassador in Portugal, said that this agreement is very important. The responsible stressed that the memorandum will enable gymnasts and technicians to obtain more knowledge about this modality.
