Rafael Guerreiro, who is part of the national fencing team, says he is ready for Angola's big debut in the competition.
"I am ready, I am prepared to play and get good results to play a good role," he said in statements to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA)
Rafael Guerreiro stressed that he wants to leave his mark in the competition and also leave "Angola's mark in the history of fencing".
Florinda Álvaro, also speaking to RNA, said she is expectant about the world championship and believes that she will be able to obtain good results to make Angola shine.
"Our expectation is to make a good result and put the name of Angola in the history of world fencing. Despite the restrictions of the pandemic has been made a huge effort by the Angolan Fencing Federation, on the part of my coach, so that we could perform a good preparation, "she said.
