Housing Institute to launch tender to rehabilitate vandalized houses in Kilamba and Vida Pacífica

The vandalized apartments in the centralities of Vida Pacífica and Kilamba, in Luanda, have already been identified, revealed the National Housing Institute (INH). Next month a public tender will be launched to rehabilitate the houses. The objective is to make the houses available to the population by the end of this year.

Silva Neto, deputy director of the institute, said that a public tender is being prepared to award the rehabilitation works, adding that so far 27 companies have already registered to participate.

The official, cited by Angop, indicated that the public tender will be launched next month. The objective, according to the responsible, is to make the houses available to the population until the end of this year.

Silva Neto also revealed that in Vida Pacífica (Zango 0), 112 apartments have been identified (typology T3 and T4), distributed among 27 buildings. In Kilamba (urbanization KK-5800) a total of 3457 houses are unfinished.

He also explained that in Kilamba the rehabilitation of the houses will be done in phases: 316 apartments will be recovered in an initial phase.

The construction of the Kilamba centrality started in 2008. This urbanization currently has 710 buildings. Vida Pacífica is composed of 2464 apartments, distributed in six blocks, in a total of 22 buildings.
