"The year-on-year change is 24.77 percent, up 5.15 percentage points from the same period last year," says a note from INE, consulted Wednesday by Lusa.
The note added that "comparing the current year-on-year change with that recorded in the previous month there is a decrease of 0.08 percentage points.
The statement said that prices rose more in the province of Luanda and less in Cabinda.
"The provinces that posted the highest rise in prices were Luanda with 2.40 percent, Lunda Sul with 2.21 percent, Lunda Norte with 2.18 percent and Uíge with 2.09 percent," whilst "the provinces that posted the lowest rise in prices were Moxico with 1.55 percent, Huambo with 1.54 percent, Benguela with 1.52 percent and Cabinda with 1.34 percent," the statement said.
In February, prices had risen 26.3 percent compared to February 2020, at the start of the covid-19 pandemic.
