The decision, published this Wednesday in Diário da República, derives from the Extension of Exceptional and Temporary Measures in the Transport Sector for the Prevention and Control of the Pandemic Propagation Covid-19.
The new period of the state of emergency, the third since 27 March, started on 26 April and includes a reduction in circulation restrictions with the lifting of the sanitary fence throughout the country, except in the province of Luanda, where the 27 cases of infection with the new coronavirus identified so far.
The diploma determines that aircraft from airlines that have an operational base in the province of Luanda can only take off with the crew and without passengers, applying the same rule when returning to the capital.
Air transport services are authorized for goods and cargo, on domestic, regional and international flights, and for passengers of a humanitarian, emergency or official nature, on domestic, regional and international flights, with the exception of the transportation of passengers in support of oil and mining activities.
