Cecilia Mandeca, the mother of the newborn, was on board a minibus that stopped at the screening centre. The woman, who was already in labor, got off the bus and minutes later gave birth.

Cecilia Mandeca and her son were taken to the health centre in Canjala where they received medical assistance, writes the Jornal de Angola.

The nurse who took care of the mother and the baby said, quoted by the same newspaper, that the birth was natural and that the baby - who was born with three kilos - is in good health.

The mother and the newborn have already been discharged, having returned to Cubal, the municipality where they live.
