Speaking after the third ordinary session of the Council of Ministers, which took place this Thursday, Rui Falcão spoke about the training aspect of the aforementioned infrastructure.

Quoted in a government statement, to which VerAngola had access, the governor said that the center has been counting on more graduates in the specialty of sports medicine.

"The National Center for Sports Medicine, which is being structured to, in the medium term, become a center of excellence, has a greater number of students specializing in sports medicine," says the note.

According to the head of the Youth and Sports department, some students "will now go to different countries", which will reinforce the "provision of public service to those who practice sports activities".

"At the moment, we have a group of six students. Four more will now go, probably to Portugal, and we have another four doctors in our pipeline who will already be specializing in the field. And then we have other professionals in sports medicine, such as physiotherapists, who will also benefit from this training," the minister pointed out.

Within the scope of "adapting the organization and operating method of the State's Direct and Indirect Administration Bodies to the guidelines arising from the State Reform Roadmap, the Council of Ministers assessed and recommended the approval, by the Head of the Executive Branch, of the Organic Statutes of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Center for Sports Medicine", says the statement.

At the meeting, still within the field of Youth and Sports, the ministerial body also assessed the Youth Development Action Plan (PADJ – 2025-2027), which aims to "promote the social, economic and cultural inclusion of young people, responding to the challenges faced by Angolan youth and transforming them into opportunities for growth and full integration into society".

This action plan is "a multisectoral effort that involves several ministerial departments, international partners and the private sector and represents a commitment by the State to empower Angolan youth, ensuring that each young person has the opportunity to contribute to the country's progress".
