On the occasion, the Secretary of State announced that the United Arab Emirates and Belgium were the main export destinations.
"In terms of trade, the country exported around 10.2 million carats valued at approximately 1.5 billion dollars in 2024, with the main destinations being the United Arab Emirates, with 78.1 percent, and Belgium with 19.8 percent," he said, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).
According to Jânio Victor, the country remains committed to establishing itself as one of the main producers and exporters of rough natural diamonds in the world.
"This includes intensifying prospecting and exploration activities, in addition to increasing the country's geological knowledge," he added, quoted by Jornal de Angola.
