"Deputy João Kanda Bernardo was recently elected executive member of the advisory board of the International Youth Parliament for a three-year term, which ends in 2028", the parliament said in a statement to which VerAngola had access.
Thus, with this election, João Kanda Bernardo became the first Angolan to hold this position.
"Deputy Kanda is the first Angolan to hold this position in this international organization", reads the statement.
The deputy has already been informed of his election, having been notified last Wednesday, through an official letter.
