In a statement, to which VerAngola had access, the ministry informs that the 4th of April, referring to the Day of Peace and National Reconciliation, "is a national holiday" and, considering that the aforementioned date, this year, is marked on a Thursday, it should give way to a 'bridge', "with the consequent suspension of work activity on the day immediately following", namely Friday (5th April).
Thus, "an hour and a half is added to the daily period of work in the public service, between the 27th and 28th of March and the 1st to the 3rd of April of this year", says the guardianship.
The ministry also states that it is up to those responsible for each administrative body or service to "ensure compliance" with this measure.
It also warns that this measure does not cover "shift workers".
Remember that the week before the Peace Day holiday will feature two holidays, namely Holy Friday, which this year falls on the 29th of March, and Easter Day, marked on Sunday, the 31st of this month.
