The ceremony took place at the Clube Naval de Luanda, with the sponsorship of NCR Angola, with the attribution of prizes resulting from the competitions held on the 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th of March, held in Luanda Bay. The clubs Naval de Luanda, Náutico da Ilha de Luanda, Primeiro de Agosto and Petro Atlético de Luanda participated in this Ceremony.
According to a statement from the federation sent to VerAngola, the country has already been represented in nautical sports in five Olympics: Barcelona 1992 (sailing), Beijing 2008 (canoeing), London 2012 (canoeing), Rio de Janeiro 2016 (sailing and rowing) and Tokyo 2020 (candle).
Therefore, in 2023, the national competition and the African championships assume particular preponderance, with the perspective of Angola re-qualifying athletes for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
