South Korea intends to strengthen cooperation ties with Angola

South Korea wants to strengthen cooperation ties with Angola, in the sectors of telecommunications, information, energy and the port and maritime industry. The intention was expressed, this Wednesday, by Park Heong-Joon, special envoy of the president of that country, Yoon Suk-Yeol.

This Wednesday, the official held an audience with the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, in the context of bilateral relations.

Speaking at the end of the meeting, Park Heong-Joon - mayor of the city of Busan (in South Korea) - indicated, quoted by Angop, that he asked for João Lourenço's support for the candidacy of that city to host the Expo-World 2030.

According to Angop, with the completion of the event, it is planned to share the experience of the Asian country in terms of economic development, as well as to present a sustainable perspective for international matters, such as climate change, health crisis, among others.

The official also added that, in this context, it is expected that the progress of relations between the two countries will be achieved on a large scale, writes Angop.

It should be noted that the diplomatic ties between Angola and South Korea date back to 1992, in a bilateral collaboration that falls into the sectors of politics, economy, society, culture, etc.
