The locomotive started its journey on Monday, with about 140 passengers, having departed from Lobito station and passed through Huambo, Cuito and Luena. At 2:30 pm this Tuesday, the train arrived at its last stop, at Luau, with a total of 60 passengers on board.

The inauguration of this connection (Lobito-Luau) was welcomed by passengers. This is the case of Rosa Cambambo, one of the passengers who made the trip from Lobito to Luau.

The citizen, in statements to Angop, considered that the route could simplify the movement of people.

The same idea was defended by Ilda Mário who, according to Angop, took advantage of her inaugural trip to visit that municipality.

The quality of the service inside the train caught the attention of the passenger Jonas Matuca, who said that he had already made several trips between Luena and Luau, but never with that "comfort": "Since colonial times, I have already made several trips by train between Luena /Luau, however, I have never experienced a reality like this, full of comfort", he said, speaking to Angop.

António Ungulo, spokesman for the CFB, also quoted by Angop, considered that "this service will facilitate passengers from the provinces of Lunda Norte and Sul to board from the municipality of Luau, towards the Center and South of the country".
