According to a statement sent to VerAngola, the Secretary of State for Commerce, Amadeu Nunes, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Instituto de Gestão de Ativos e Participações do Estado (IGAPE), Patrício Vilar, as well as members of the Municipal Administration of Kilamba, traditional authorities, the General Director of Kero, Rui Gonçalves, among other members of the Kero board.
"The Accord group intends to reopen the Kero stores with more strength and ambition than ever", the note states, adding that "about 1790 jobs were safeguarded" and "more than 370 people were given an opportunity in Luanda, contributing to the reduction of unemployment rate and supporting the communities where the stores are located".
Regarding the remaining stores, the note states that they will open gradually. The next ones will be those of Morro Bento, Mártires e Combatentes, which will open "still during this month".
"The reopening of Kero stores is also an important lever for national production, since 80 percent of the products that fill the stores in this reopening are national. The group is available to create partnerships with all national producers with delivery capacity, product quality and competitive price", states the statement.
In terms of opening hours, the two supermarkets that opened their doors this Friday will be open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.
Rui Gonçalves, Kero's General Manager, quoted in the note, indicated that the group's focus is to fully reopen the 12 Kero stores.
