The Angolan rider will enter the track, on March 18, to compete in the 1000 Miles of Sebring. This race, which is expected to last around eight hours, concerns the "opening round of the 2022 FIA WEC season".

In the race, according to a note made available on the pilot's official website, the Angolan will share the "Realteam for WRT Oreca with Ferdinand Habsburg (from Austria) and Norman Nato (from France)".

The following day, March 19, Rui Andrade will compete for the second round of the 12-hour IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup from Sebring, as his tower motorsport car.

Quoted in the note, the pilot considered that it will be "difficult, but also extremely fun".

"I've been working a lot on the simulator and in the gym to prepare for both races. Twenty hours of racing in a 30 hour period will be a challenge; even though I have two 24 hour races on my back, this will be something different, especially on a track like Sebring," he added.

The Sebring Raceway track is located in Sebring, Florida and is 3.74 miles long.

It should be noted that the Angolan driver started the 2022 season on the podium of the Daytona 24-hour race. Last year, Rui Andrade was champion of the European Endurance Le Mans 2021 in the LMP2 category.
