The Angolan, who represents the province of Benguela, was elected Miss CPLP Angola 2021 in December last year, at a gala where 17 competitors competed for the title.
"On December 18 I was elected Miss CPLP Angola 2021. Being Miss has always been one of my biggest dreams, from glamor to social causes, being my 'Importance of Education'", wrote Krishna Valente at the time.
After the victory on national soil, the Angolan will take the colors of the country across borders: Krishna Valente will travel to Portugal where he will be present at the Miss CPLP 2022 election gala, which will take place on March 26, at the Lisbon Capitol.
Speaking on Platina FM's 'Dia Alegra' program, the Angolan woman was happy to have the opportunity to represent Angola's culture and colors in the beauty contest.
"I trust in my potential and I believe that Angola will have a great performance in the contest. But above all, I hope it will be a great experience for me, so that I can enjoy every moment, come out of it more mature and safer, being able to contribute in a better way for our society," she said.
In addition, she also defended the fact that it is important to bet on quality education, since her social cause is linked to this sector.
"I intend to provide didactic materials and lectures to students, as an incentive to continue to give the best possible performance in their studies, taking advantage of the opportunities that education can provide to a human being, one of them being employment opportunities, thus improving their lifestyle and maybe the people around you," she said, quoted by Platinaline.
The Miss CPLP 2022 gala, in addition to the parades of the various contestants, will also have musical moments by artists such as Liriany Castro, Shane Maquemba, among others.
Voting to elect Miss CPLP 2022 is already underway. Those interested in voting for Angola can do so here.
