UN in Angola warns of false job offers

The office of the United Nations resident coordinator in Angola demarcated itself from an ongoing activity in the province of Huíla on behalf of the Economic and Social Council of the Nations, warning of false job offers.

:

The UN has warned, in a statement, that this activity, or the individuals involved, are in no way affiliated with the United Nations and recommends people to "act with extreme caution and not respond to requests for money transfers or provide information private".

The victims of these requests must report them to the national judicial authorities and if they have doubts about the authenticity of a job offer, e-mail, letter or phone call on behalf of the United Nations, they are advised to request clarifications from this body.

The statement further underlines that the United Nations does not charge any fees during its recruitment processes, does not solicit information from individuals regarding their bank accounts, nor does it offer academic awards or scholarships, unless such offers are transmitted through official channels.
