President asks new governors to work "firmly"

This Friday, João Lourenço presided over the inauguration of the new governors of the provinces of Benguela and Huíla. At the ceremony, the President asked the new leaders to work hard for the development of the provinces that were handed over to them.

:

The head of state called on the new governors to work "firmly so that the provinces of Benguela and Huila continue to move forward.

According to a note posted on the government's Facebook page, João Lourenço "urged the new helmsman of the province of Huíla not to allow the remarkable achievements that he inherits from his predecessor to be lost. As for Benguela, the Head of State "directed a very particular attention to the four coastal areas of the province (Benguela, Lobito, Catumbela and Baía Farta), without prejudice, obviously, to the remaining territory".

He also advised that the governors work in collaboration with the local business class, "so that the region shines and shows results in sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, tourism and others.

Remember that the President decided to exonerate, this Wednesday, Rui Falcão, governor of Benguela, and appoint Luís Nunes, until then governor of Huíla, to replace him.

Nuno Bernabé Mahapi Dala, until now vice-governor of Huíla, will now be the governor of the province.

On the bet on Nuno Bernabé Mahapi Dala, João Lourenço said that he hopes that this "promising young man" will be able to "continue the good work that his predecessor did so far, so that the achievements will not be lost.

According to the note, the President said he was convinced that the new governor of Huila will be able to do a good job, "for his training, humility and other qualities demonstrated.

The now governor of Huila, Nuno Dala, assured that he is ready to assume the province, highlighting "to be a great challenge of his governance the creation of conditions for the presentation of projects that allow the interconnection of energy".

For Nuno Dala it is necessary to "produce energy on a large scale" in order to make the industrial park profitable. "If we have energy, I believe that we will be a great province. Only this way we will be able to generate more employment", he defended.

To the new governor of Benguela, João Lourenço "recommended that he work more with the local business community and with all investors that want to invest in the province, so that they can make the most of the great potential that the province has in all areas, especially now that the province will soon benefit from more electricity.

Luís Nunes said that he will do everything "to turn yesterday's impossible into today's possible. "Nobody alone changes anything, so I am counting on the united civil society of Benguela. Only together and hand in hand will we become strong and overcome the problems and difficulties of the province," he said.
