Covid-19: country with 69 more new cases, one death and 91 recovered

The country has registered 69 more new cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours, as well as one death, and has recovered 91 patients, according to State Secretary for Public Health Franco Mufinda.

The new cases are related to 38 males and 31 females, aged between eight and 75 years, being 54 from Luanda Province, seven from Cabinda, five from Cuando Cubango, two from Zaire and one from Benguela.

The death was of an Angolan citizen, 72 years old, from Luanda Province, with comorbidities (hypertension and diabetes mellitus).

They recovered 91 people, aged between one and 74 years, 87 of them from the province of Luanda and four from Huambo.

Angola accumulates 22,132 cases of covid-19, of which 1218 are active, including six in critical condition and eight severe, 534 deaths and 20,380 recovered.

In the last 24 hours, 1245 tests were processed, for a cumulative sample count of 426,830.

In the last 24 hours, 12,987 users were vaccinated, with 130,750 people having been vaccinated between March 5 and March 29.

The covid-19 pandemic has caused at least 2,784,276 deaths worldwide, resulting from more than 127 million cases of infection, according to an assessment made by the French agency AFP.

The disease is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected in late 2019 in Wuhan, a city in central China.
