Angola announces 57 more cases of covid-19, one death and two recovered

In the last 24 hours, Angola registered 57 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus, one death and two recovered patients, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Directorate of Public Health.

Among the new cases, aged between 3 and 74 years, 43 are from Luanda province, 7 from Huíla, 3 from Zaire and the provinces of Moxico, Cunene, Cuanza Sul and Lunda Sul reported 1 in each.
It consists of 35 males and 22 females.

One death was reported by covid-19, male, 54 years old, from the province of Huíla, with comorbidity of diabetes 'mellitus', as well as two recovered individuals, aged between 38 and 41 years, one from the province of Luanda and another from Malanje.

There is a cumulative of 21,380 confirmed cases of covid-19, of which 1009 were active, 521 were deaths and 19,850 were recovered.

Of the 1009 active cases, six are in critical condition and nine are serious.

In the last 24 hours, 3709 samples were processed by RT-PCR. The total number of processed samples is 407,753 with a positivity rate of 5.2 percent.

The covid-19 pandemic caused at least 2,649,334 deaths worldwide, resulting from more than 119.4 million cases of infection, according to a report made by the French agency AFP.
