The first of these protocols, signed with the National Institute of Scholarship Management of Angola (INAGBE), aims to "manage the process of awarding scholarships to students attending initial teacher training courses for professional technical education," said Camões in a statement issued this Friday.

The courses, developed with the support of RETFOP, are taught by the Agostinho Neto University and the Higher Institute of Educational Sciences (ISCED), in Luanda, as well as the José Eduardo dos Santos University, in Huambo and the Higher Institute of Educational Sciences (ISCED), also in that city of the central highlands of Angola.

"The general objective of the partnership is to contribute to the provision of teachers for the sub-system of Technical-Vocational Education of Angola, with a view to improving the qualifications provided by it," said the note from Camões on the various protocols signed this Friday.

The second protocol, with the Agostinho Neto University (Luanda) and the Higher Institute of Educational Sciences (ISCED) of Luanda, aims to implement eight initial teacher training courses for technical-vocational education.

These teacher training courses, also developed with the support of RETFOP, are "namely" for teaching construction, electrical engineering and energy, electronics and automation, electronics and telecommunications, machines and motors, cold mechanics and air conditioning, metalworking, electromechanics and maintenance.

This partnership should "contribute to the provision of teachers for the technical-vocational education subsystem, in order to improve the qualifications provided by it", says Camões in the note.

The third agreement, signed with the José Eduardo dos Santos University (in Huambo) and the Higher Institute of Educational Sciences (ISCED) in Huambo, aims to hold three initial teacher training courses for technical-vocational education, also developed with the support of RETFOP, namely for teaching agricultural production, agricultural management and the agri-food industry.

This partnership also aims to "contribute to the provision of teachers for the technical-vocational education subsystem, with a view to improving the qualifications provided by it", the statement states.
