According to the minister, quoted by Angop, the scholarships will be offered under the Science and Technology Development Program.
It should be recalled that, within the scope of the same program, the Government has already allocated about 250 scholarships to young people from 18 provinces, as a way of attending technical courses, reducing school drop-out rates and the possibility of early pregnancies.
Fifty percent of these new grants will go to women, with the Government's objective of gender equality in education. Women are encouraged to enroll in technical courses such as engineering, new technologies, agriculture, forests or fisheries.
The minister informed that the authorities have been working so that the country increases the representation of women and their value in the labor market.
