Private investors have invested more than 900 million in Angola since August 2018

The Agency for Private Investment and Export Promotion (AIPEX) released this Thursday its most recent figures on private investment in the country: from August 2018 to February this year, 55 investment projects were carried out, valued at 909 million dollars.

The most recent data indicate that in the total period analyzed, 262 investment intentions were recorded, valued at USD 2715 million.

In a note issued on the occasion of the agency's second anniversary, and cited by Jornal de Angola, it is also advanced that, taking into account the investments made, 4810 jobs were created.

It is known that almost 200 proposals are currently being implemented, with three waiting for the start of this process.

With regard to the areas with the greatest investment attraction, the Industry stands out clearly, with investment intentions in the order of 1331 million dollars in the period under analysis. Agriculture follows, with 199 million.

Locating the investment, the most significant proposals came from South Africa, with investment intentions equivalent to 664 million dollars, followed by China (184 million), France (36 million), USA (32 million) and Germany (11 millions).

Taking into account the ongoing investment processes, 840 visas were requested and 350 follow-up visits were carried out across the country.

Recently, AIPEX implemented the Electronic Private Investment Processing System (SETIP). This platform allows interaction between investors and the agency through an automated process, facilitating access to the registration of investment proposals 24 hours a day.
