The above mentioned companies will receive a bonus for supporting artists and thus helping to value and promote national culture, according to the Sponsorship Law - which came into force in 2012.
To become part of the patronage list, entities must be legally constituted, have financial stability and contribute to social security. After confirming all these requirements, the entities can apply to be registered as sponsors in the National Tax Directorate of the Ministry of Finance, submitting documents proving their legal status, the tax identification number (NIF) and the sector in which they operate, writes Novo Jornal.
