On the occasion, the First Lady of the Republic highlighted the "role of sport and the arts in the healthy growth of young people".

Quoted in a statement from the municipal administration of Cazenga, to which VerAngola had access, Ana Dias Lourenço said that the aim, through these activities, is for young people to "become exemplary citizens".

"We want young people to become exemplary citizens through these activities," she said.

"I feel good whenever I'm surrounded by children and young people, especially when something is being done well in the country's development process," said the First Lady, who expressed her intention to extend the sports infrastructure recovery program – which began in August last year and benefited Vila Clotilde – to other provinces.

"We intend to expand to other provinces. I would like to take this opportunity to appeal to entrepreneurs and businessmen to join us in this social initiative. The more partners we have, the more provinces will be covered," she said, quoted by Jornal de Angola.

According to Ana Dias Lourenço, it is expected that, in the first quarter of this year, at least two more rehabilitated courts will be delivered, these being the space of the Escorpiões da Boa Fé de Viana and ASA.

"As you can imagine, good will is not enough, you need resources. We have some partners working in this direction, but we would like more companies and organizations to join us and ensure the growth of this project," she said, quoted by Jornal de Angola.

The Formigas do Cazenga Sports Pavilion, "the result of a partnership between the Ngana Zenza Foundation and the Angolan Basketball Federation, is part of the 'ReviengAngola' project, which aims to promote sport and social development in communities", says the note from the municipal administration of Cazenga.

In addition to Ana Dias Lourenço, the inauguration ceremony was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Rui Falcão, the Vice-Governor of Luanda for the Political and Social Sector, Manuel Gonçalves, among other diplomatic entities, partners of companies such as Sonangol, Banco Sol, and other guests.

"The 'ReviengAngola' project aims to increase the practice of basketball and strengthen collaboration between clubs and municipal administrations. The new pavilion emerges as a reference space for sport and community interaction," the note also points out.
