Literature and Abayomi art at Instituto Guimarães Rosa

:

Between 25 and 28 February, Brazilians will bring literature and Abayomi art to Angola.

Through the Mobility project of the Secretariat of Culture of the State of Bahia (SECULT/BA), Brazilians Adilson Passos, Carol Adesewa and Marcelo Ricardo will be at the Instituto Guimarães Rosa to tell stories to children, give a workshop on Abayomi rag dolls and promote the launch of their literary works.

The three will join Brazilian Roberto Leal and Angolan Ismael Farinha, who provide consultancy and internal technical support to the project "As Mulheres Abayomi", which is visiting Luanda.

On 25 and 26 February, a workshop on making Abayomi rag dolls and storytelling will be held, starting at 2:00 pm.

On February 28th, starting at 3:00 pm, the books "As Mulheres Abayomi" (by Adilson Passos), "Plantando com Malik" (by Carol Adesewa) and "Aos meus homens" (by Marcelo Ricardo) will be launched, as well as a conversation with children, educators and guests.
