In statements at the opening of the workshop to launch the public consultation for the Preparation of the National Strategy for the Reconversion of Agri-Food Systems 2026-2035, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry said he considered it pertinent to develop subsistence agriculture into commercial agriculture, aiming to facilitate the generation of savings and livelihood for producer families, writes Angop.
On the occasion, Isaac dos Anjos also pointed out the need for a peasant to be "responsible and capable of supporting his own family" and ensuring the education of his children.
"A peasant citizen must be responsible and capable of supporting his own family, as well as creating financial reserves to ensure the education of his children", said the minister.
According to Angop, the event served to analyze issues related to strengthening sustainable food production, agro-industrialization and trade, among others.
