According to the official, the company is already working with the Ministry of Agriculture to identify the country's "food production needs."
In statements to the press, quoted in a government statement seen by VerAngola, Nawa Lamari said that "many investment opportunities have been identified in Angola."
"Many investment opportunities have been identified in Angola, and we are partnering with the Ministry of Agriculture to explore all types of cooperation to invest here," she emphasized.
"Nawa Lamari also stated that the United Arab Emirates agricultural multinational intends to invest in Angola in an area of at least 10,000 hectares," the statement reads.
At the meeting with Lima Massano, in addition to Al Dahra Agricultural Company, a representative of MIA Power, a company involved in energy and water projects, was also present.
"With an investment in Africa valued at approximately two billion dollars, the company is working in Angola on the development of a seawater desalination project, which aims to serve approximately 400,000 families," the statement reads.
On the occasion, Inácio Carreiras, the company's associate director, stated that the project, located on Mussulo Island, "will enable water supply to other areas of Luanda and increase resilience in the event of climate change."
He further explained that the project's development is the result of a public-private partnership, but that the capital is private: "This project is being developed through a public-private partnership, but all the capital is private. We, MIA Power, in partnership with Cox Angola, developed the project and absorb the long-term operational risk," he said, quoted in the statement.
