In the first qualifying game for Afrobasket 2025, which took place in Tunisia, some players stood out for their performance. This is the case of Gilson Bango, with 24 points and nine rebounds.
According to the Angolan Basketball Federation, Abou Gakou (20 points, two assists and three rebounds), Childe Dundão (12 points, six rebounds and nine assists) and Gerson Gonçalves (10 points, five assists and three rebounds) also stood out.
Angola is part of group E, which also includes teams from Tunisia, Kenya and Guinea. The senior men's national team will play again this weekend, facing Kenya's counterparts on the field this Saturday and Tunisia's team on Sunday.
